Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires basic mechanical skills and basic knowledge of computers.
• Mobile or stationary equipment experience is beneficial as is experience in the manufacturing or construction industries.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant - automated drum and batch plant systems and control boards.
• Communicate with quality control personnel to ensure specifications are met and adjust mix formulas.
• Monitor plant status, load out material, and dispatch trucks.
• Coordinate with paving crews and project teams and external customers to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality and customer service.
• Keep plant running at optimal performance to avoid downtime.
• Maintain a safe working environment and participate in safety discussions.
• Plan production for the following day and order raw materials.
• Assist in preventative maintenance and repairs with focus on reducing downtime.
• Assist as equipment operator as needed, including CAT loaders and forklifts after training.
