Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires basic mechanical skills and basic knowledge of computers.
• Mobile or stationary equipment experience is beneficial as is experience in the manufacturing or construction industries.
• Physical Demands - Labor can range from light to heavy; work environment includes control tower, outdoor industrial areas, and PPE-intensive settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant – automated drum and batch plant systems with control boards.
• Coordinate with quality control to ensure specs and adjust mix formulas.
• Monitor plant status, adjust operations, load material onto dump trucks, dispatch trucks.
• Coordinate with paving crews and project teams to optimize production and profitability.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality and service.
• Keep plant running at optimal performance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a safe working environment and participate in safety discussions.
• Schedule production needs for next day and adjust for current day.
• Document daily/weekly/monthly activities and reporting.
• Plan next day’s production and order raw materials.
• Assist in preventative maintenance and repairs to reduce downtime, including winter maintenance.
• Assist as equipment operator when needed (CAT 980/966 loaders, manlifts, skid steers, forklifts).
