Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the portable asphalt plant to ensure efficient production and high-quality output
• Monitor the production process and make adjustments as necessary to meet project specifications
• Conduct regular inspections of the equipment, diagnosing issues and ensuring it is safe and ready to run
• Work closely with paving crews to coordinate delivery and timing of asphalt materials
• Maintain accurate records of production data, material usage, and equipment maintenance
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team
• Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge about asphalt operations

• Previous experience in asphalt production or as an asphalt plant operator is highly desirable
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate heavy machinery
• Knowledge of asphalt production processes, safety regulations, and quality control
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to different job sites in Iowa and Nebraska
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training or certifications are a plus
• Pass pre-employment drug screening.
