Job summary

Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. in Crestview, FL is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to run the Astec controlled 300TPH plant at our Crestview facility. You will handle startup, shutdown, operation, adjustments to optimize performance, monitor tank levels, and ensure safe, efficient production.

We value reliability, safety, and a strong work ethic. Shifts are Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays. Pay is DOE and benefits include 401K, Vision, Medical and Dental.

Responsibilities

• Startup, shutdown, and operation of the Astec controlled 300TPH asphalt plant.
• Adjust controls to optimize plant performance.
• Monitor tank levels and coordinate deliveries to keep tanks full.
• Maintain yard and plant in neat, orderly condition.
• Loadout and ticket trucks to match material and job.
• Prepare end-of-day reports as directed by the plant foreman.
• Troubleshoot plant issues and assist with repairs to keep plant operable.

Monday - Friday ( Some Saturdays ) 10 - 12 Hour Shifts

Job Responsibilities

• Execute startup, shutdown, and operation of an Astec controlled 300TPH asphalt plant.
• Adjust controls to optimize plant performance, and operation
• Monitor tank levels and communicate liquid deliveries to ensure tanks stay filled to maximum capacity.
• Maintain yard and plant to be in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Correctly loadout and ticket trucks to match material and job.
• Prepare end of day reports as directed by the plant foreman, and ensure tickets are correct.
• Trouble shoot problems with plant and assist with repairs to keep plant operable, and in optimal working condition.

Typical Physical Demands

The essential functions of this position include -

Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting a minimum of 45 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, low-level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
