Qualifications

What You'll Do:

1. Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
2. Plant Operation. Load hot mix asphalt into haul trucks; manufacture asphalt products according to design and customer specifications; operate plant equipment to regulate material flow; control inventory.
3. Inspect Equipment, Structures, and Material. Perform daily inspections, document repairs, maintain equipment, diagnose problems, and perform mechanical repairs.
4. Monitor Processes and Materials. Ensure continuous flow of materials, review plant systems, and remove clogs as needed.
5. Document and Record Information. Assist with record keeping, production schedules, and reporting. Read and write delivery tickets and issue them to customers.
6. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

• Experience. Minimum 3 years in asphalt or construction aggregates industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Best Practices. Basic industry knowledge preferred.
• Flexibility. Willing to work overtime, extended hours, outdoors in all weather, and tolerate loud noises.
• Mechanical Skills. Knowledge of tools, basic maintenance, troubleshooting.
• Communication Skills. Effective communication with team, leadership, customers; ability to interpret orders.
• Computer Skills. Ability to learn systems, generate reports.

Salary Range: $37.00 - $47.00 per hour, excluding bonuses and equity. Compensation considers skills, experience, scope, and market data.
