Job summary

Kokosing Materials, Inc. is seeking an operator capable of safely running and maintaining asphalt plant equipment and related machinery. The role requires flexibility to cover day or night shifts, including weekends, and occasional travel to support production needs.

You will handle track excavators, back hoes, dozers, loaders, rollers and forklifts, and participate in preventative maintenance to ensure continuous operation and safety of all equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine duties as directed by Foreman.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to keep equipment serviced.
• Monitor production levels and adjust as needed.
• Troubleshoot and discuss production problems with team.

Job Description:

Operator must have the ability to operate a variety of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safely operating and maintaining asphalt plant and construction equipment.
• Responsible for operating track excavators, back hoes, dozers, loaders, rollers, forklifts, and other pieces of equipment.
• Perform other routine duties as directed by Foreman.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced as needed.
• Monitor production levels and adjust production as needed.
• Troubleshoot, problem solve, and successfully discuss production problems with co-workers and supervisors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of asphalt plant.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must have the initiative, ability, and willingness to perform and assist with other responsibilities for job completion as requested.
• Must be willing to work day or night shift, including weekends.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Must be capable of operating the assigned machine and any other related equipment in a safe manner.
• Must be able to do a competent inspection of the equipment.
