Job summary

Trap Rock Industries LLC in New Jersey is seeking a Groundman to support asphalt production outdoors. You will clean, load materials, operate a skid steer, and assist with preventive maintenance while following safety protocols.

The role requires physical work, willingness to work long hours, nights and weekends, and the ability to lift heavy items; experience in construction or industrial settings is a plus, with PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential duties in outdoor industrial settings.
• Ability to lift 50-90 pounds and work on uneven surfaces.
• Comfort working in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).

Responsibilities

• Clean up spilled asphalt, sweeping, shoveling, and operating a skid steer to clear debris.
• Grease, oil, and perform minor repairs on conveyor belts, crushers, and hot plant machinery.
• Load/unload materials and assist with stockpiles or leftover mix.
• Maintain a clean job site to eliminate hazards and wear PPE.
• Support the plant operator and assist with daily production tasks.
