Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking a capable supervisor to lead asphalt plant operations in Utah. You will coordinate activities, supervise crew, and ensure safety and quality while maintaining accurate production records.

The role emphasizes strong people management, effective communication, and the ability to make calm decisions under pressure. Training is provided to grow technical knowledge of asphalt production and to support customers with scheduling and field execution.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years related construction field experience (preferred).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and supervise daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate asphalt plant activities and supervise crew.
  • Communicate daily workload and scheduling with customers.
  • Ensure safety culture and compliant operations.
  • Maintain daily production logs and time sheets.
  • Oversee equipment operation and maintenance with the shop.
  • Assist with training and coaching staff as needed.

Position Overview

Looking for opportunity to grow? We are willing to train in the technical knowledge of asphalt production! We are looking for someone with the following characteristics:

Work Requirements
  • Coordinate asphalt plant activities.
  • Communicate daily workload.
  • Facilitate scheduling of liquids, aggregate and plant start up.
  • Communicate with customers on daily demands and scheduling.
  • Complete required daily production logs and time sheets.
  • Lead crew in our safety culture and help ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work with the asphalt Superintendent to achieve timely job specific instructions.
  • Supervise/ coordinate, train, and coach assigned personnel in the completion of jobs and daily work duties.
  • Coordinate With QC to ensure a quality product daily.
  • Supervise equipment operators and laborers to ensure that work is being done safely and correctly.
  • Perform the duties of an equipment operator and laborer when necessary.
  • Ensure that employees operate and maintain equipment properly. Notify shop of equipment mechanical and safety issues
  • Ensure job site and equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Maintain time and material records necessary for completing daily job costing
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Requirements
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Pass a pre-employment "Fit for Work" physical.
  • Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.

  • Report to work at the designated start time.
  • Be able to work long hours when required.

  • Must be able to complete safe driver training, possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications with the ability to learn new software systems as needed.
