Job summary

Werner Construction Inc. is seeking a results‑driven supervisor to coordinate and direct activities of our asphalt crew, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include supervising asphalt plant and paving operations, maintaining quality control, allocating labor and equipment, interpreting plans, and communicating with state, federal and local project managers to drive project success.

• Supervise and coordinate asphalt plant and paving operations for the crew.
• Ensure that quality control is developed and maintained.
• Monitors and facilitates labor and equipment resources based on project.
• Read and interpret plans for purposes of construction compliance.
• Communicate with State, Federal and local Project Managers to ensure project success.
• Confer with managers, sub-contractors, and Project Managers on a daily basis or as needed.
• Improve the knowledge, skills and capabilities of the crew members.

Job description

This position is responsible for coordinating and directing activities of their assigned asphalt crew to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and financial parameters.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
