Job summary

Sunrock is seeking an Asphalt Paving Operator to join our field crew in North Carolina. You will operate asphalt pavers, rollers, and skid steers, ensuring grade and compaction meet specifications while maintaining safety standards.

Typical shifts are long and outdoors; you should have at least 2 years of paving or heavy equipment experience, read grade stakes, and work well with crew members. CDL is preferred, high school diploma or GED required, and commitment to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of asphalt paving experience or heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to read grade stakes and follow project specs.
• Strong safety mindset and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt pavers, rollers, and skid steers to place and compact asphalt.
• Adjust machine settings for depth, width, and flow.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and report issues.
• Coordinate with truck drivers and crew for efficient paving.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow company policies.
