Job summary

Sunland Asphalt is seeking General Laborers to support our asphalt paving projects in the Kykotsmovi, AZ area. General Laborers perform a variety of physical tasks using power and hand tools as defined by each project.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience preferred.
• Ability to read/write English preferred.
• Flagger certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work safely to meet production goals as directed by Foreman/Manager.
• Follow daily production schedule and job activities.
• Shovel, rake, and spread asphalt, aggregate, sand and other materials.
• Cut and remove damaged pavement; rake, load, and haul debris.
• Prepare site surfaces prior to paving or coating.
• Dig, grade, and backfill trenches; assist with excavation and concrete work as directed.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment.
• Assist equipment operators and truck drivers by spotting and guiding vehicles.
• Perform other general laborer duties as assigned.
