Position Overview

The onsite paving foreman will be responsible for overseeing, directing, and coordinating the activities of project personnel to ensure that the project progresses efficiently, on schedule, and within the allocated budget. This role requires close collaboration with management, office staff, project managers, general contractors, and customers to successfully implement project plans from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, direct, and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure efficient progress, on schedule, and within the budget.
• Lead and supervise paving laborers, including assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
• Monitor and manage project timelines to ensure milestones are met and the project stays within budget.
• Identify potential delays or issues and take corrective action as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for management, office personnel, project managers, general contractors, and customers.
• Foster effective communication across teams to ensure clarity and resolve challenges or conflicts.
• Ensure all project activities are conducted in compliance with established quality standards and safety regulations.
• Address any concerns regarding the quality of work and implement necessary improvements.
• Proactively identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
• Address any unforeseen issues that may arise during the project.
• Provide regular project status updates to management and ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company standards.
• Oversee the successful completion of the project and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Asphalt Paving and best practices, including equipment operator experience specific to Asphalt Paving.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Proven experience as a Paving Foreman or in a similar role.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
