We are currently looking for an experienced Asphalt Paver Operator to join our team. This position involves the operation of a machine that spreads and levels hot mix asphalt on highways and streets by performing the following duties:

1. Perform pre-shift inspection of machinery per Company Guidelines and manufacturers' specifications.
2. Comply with operating safety rules and regulations.
3. Fill in daily inspection reports.
4. Coordinate with the mechanic to report any problem with the operation of the assigned equipment.
5. May oil, grease or otherwise service and make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
6. When not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor.

Requirements

Here's What You'll Need:

1. Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
2. Knowledge of asphalt paving best practices.
3. Knowledge of compaction testing and temperature requirements.
4. Must display a courteous and professional attitude when dealing with co-workers and the public.
5. The willingness to work extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnights.
6. Be punctual and dependable, be capable of lifting 50 pounds and work in the sun most of the day.
7. A valid driver’s license and a valid hoisting license.
8. High school diploma / equivalent.
