Job summary

Pavement Partners Cincinnati LLC is seeking an experienced Asphalt Manager to oversee all asphalt-related operations, including project planning, crew supervision, equipment and plant coordination, quality control, safety, and customer satisfaction.

This leadership role drives productivity, profitability, and performance across paving and milling projects, ensuring the highest standards in safety, scheduling, and workmanship.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of asphalt paving and milling experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of paving operations, milling techniques, plant operations, and material specifications.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and performance analysis.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in construction management tools, job costing, and Microsoft Office.
  • CDL and/or heavy equipment knowledge preferred.
  • Able to work long hours, including nights and weekends as required by the project.
  • Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all asphalt paving and milling operations from start to finish.
  • Manage and support field crews, foremen, superintendents, and plant operations.
  • Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and clients to review project scopes and align resources.
  • Ensure work meets or exceeds quality standards, specifications, and deadlines.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and material needs.
  • Lead efforts to optimize equipment utilization and plant production.
  • Monitor job cost performance, labor efficiency, and profitability across projects.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and resolve any project concerns.
  • Train, and develop field leadership and crew members.
  • Track and report performance, safety, and job progress.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost control.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
