Job summary

Pramira in California is seeking an Asphalt Laborer to join the Outside Plant division. Under the Construction Foreman, you will help with asphalt, pavement maintenance, and roadwork, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will operate basic tools, assist with material preparation, handle equipment safely, and support site clean-up and traffic control. A strong work ethic, willingness to learn Maxwell Products methods, and ability to work outdoors are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver license.
• Experience in general construction or pavement maintenance preferred.
• Able to operate a melter or kettle for pavement materials.
• Able to perform heavy outdoor labor and safely load/unload equipment.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction and work areas to eliminate hazards.
• Assist with asphalt, pavement maintenance, and roadwork activities.
• Prepare, place, spread, and finish asphalt materials.
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools used for asphalt work.
• Assist with crack sealing and pavement repair tasks.
• Assist with operation and preparation of asphalt application equipment.
• Assist with traffic control and maintain safe areas around vehicles and workers.
• Comply with safety standards and procedures at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
