Mission

Reeves Construction Company is seeking an Asphalt Distributor / Tack Truck Driver for our Savannah, GA location. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operate the tack truck safely and effectively.
2. Assist the crew with shoveling and other tasks when the tack truck is not in use.
3. Maintain and keep the truck clean.
4. Heat the tank prior to starting work.
5. Apply tack within specifications.
6. Set string lines on road edges if needed.
7. Work nights and weekends as required.
8. Drive safely and consistently.

Qualifications, Education, and Competencies

1. Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
2. Valid Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement and a good driving record.
3. Adhere to DOT and Reeves safety regulations.
4. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
5. Experience with construction equipment.
6. At least one year of relevant experience.
7. Ability to lift 45 pounds.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands:

• Climb onto and off machinery multiple times daily.
• Sit in and operate machinery for extended periods.
• Endure vibration and noise at the job site.
• Perform repetitive motions with arms, hands, and feet.
• Perform manual tasks such as handling paint drums.

Employees must be able to use their hands and arms for signaling, climbing, balancing, and manual duties, and lift up to 60 pounds regularly. Vision requirements include 20/40 vision with or without correction, and hearing must be normal or corrected.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather, vibrations, fumes, and airborne particles.
• Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, heights, chemicals.
• Noise levels are typically loud.
