Job summary

Northworks Architects & Planners seeks a Project Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join our Aspen studio. This full-time, in-office role supports all phases of design from concept through construction documentation, with mentorship, project ownership, and cross-office collaboration.

Located in Aspen, CO, the role emphasizes collaboration with studio leadership and other Northworks offices nationwide while advancing your skills in a design-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a professional architecture or design setting.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Design from an accredited university.
• Proficiency in Revit is required. Strong 3D visualization and rendering skills are required. Experience with Enscape, Lumion, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
• Strong visual and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, and documentation standards.
• Must be able to work full-time, in-person at our Aspen office.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams throughout all phases of design and documentation.
• Report to the local Studio Director for project oversight and guidance.
• Assist in the development of architectural designs and documentation across all phases of design.
• Produce construction documents, presentation drawings, and renderings.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Participate in client meetings, internal design reviews, and project planning sessions.
• Collaborate with Northworks studios across the country as part of a unified team.
