Rippling, Inc. in Manteca, CA, is seeking an After School Program Line Staff to create a safe, engaging environment for elementary students after school hours. You will supervise, assist academics, and lead enrichment activities to support social, emotional, and academic growth.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, DOJ background clearance, TB screening, and completion of a proficiency test or 48 college credits. Part-time, $20/hour, schedule Monday–Friday afternoons.

Qualifications

  • Receive Department of Justice background clearance.
  • Negative TB within past 4 years.
  • Passing of the proficiency test or 48 college credits.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise students and ensure safety at all times.
  • Promote a safe and positive classroom environment.
  • Monitor enrichment lessons in alignment with the After School Quality Standards.
  • Provide opportunities for students to participate in enriching academic and physical activities.
  • Attend all meetings and trainings as required.
  • Ensure age-appropriate conversation and promote good manners.
  • Remain with designated group for the duration of the program.
  • Immediately report and document all injuries or incidents.
  • Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging for youth.

Job Summary

The primary role of the After School Program Line Staff is to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students through facilitating quality programming. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising elementary age students, assisting the students academically, engaging the students with enrichment activities and assisting in recreational games. The ASP Line Staff must have the ability to establish authority through leadership, communication, and most importantly patience. Enthusiasm, dedication, and the ability to connect with children are key qualities essential in order to foster the social, emotional and academic growth of all students in program.

  • Supervise students and ensure safety at all times

  • Monitor enrichment lessons in alignment with the After School Quality Standards.
  • Provide an opportunity for students to participate in enriching academic and physical education activities without regard for high performance skill or ability
  • Attend all meetings and training's that the position requires
  • Ensure age-appropriate conversation among members and staff; promote good manners and encourage common courtesies
  • Responsible for designated group for duration of program or until replacement staff arrives – never leave students unsupervised
  • Responsible for immediately reporting and documenting all injuries or incidents
  • Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging for youth

Pay Rate

  • $20/hour

Required Credentials

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Receive Department of Justice background clearance
  • Negative TB within past 4 years
  • Passing of the proficiency test or 48 college credits. The proficiency test will be scheduled and administered in the main office prior to the initial onboarding process

Preferred Credentials

  • Experience and/or training in a closely related employment position preferred
