About The Role
The Family Day Care (FDC) program within the Department for Education, focuses on enriching the lives of South Australian children and their families by the provision and coordination of high-quality home-based childcare. The service enables families with dependent children to participate in the workforce and the broader community through their involvement in the FDC program.
The Rural and Remote Solutions (RRS) project is funded through FDC’s successful application to Australian Government (AG) Community Child Care Fund (CCCF). The project focuses on promoting FDC as a quality early childhood education and care service and as a viable employment opportunity in rural and remote communities across South Australia.
The RRS Administrative Officer is accountable for the provision of administrative support to the RRS team including, Manager, Team Leader and promotion and support coordinators. The RRS Administrative Officer ensures effective management of administrative systems, processes, resources and records associated with the promotion of FDC program, in accordance with the Department of Education, Skills and Employment guidelines and objectives and early childhood policies.
Qualifications
Essential: Nil.
Desirable: Certificate in business administration or equivalent experience. Experience in the use of government financial software packages, Microsoft suite of applications, especially Word, Excel and Teams.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO2 $58,709 - $63,154 per annum (1.0 FTE- will be adjusted to actual hours worked) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
