Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a tutor to support students through individual and group sessions, aligning with curriculum and program coordinator's guidance. You will help students develop learning strategies and critical thinking using available resources.

You will maintain a tutoring schedule, keep accurate records, and protect confidentiality of student information. Must have an associate or higher degree, patience, strong communication, and a positive role-model approach.

Job Description:

• Facilitates both individual and group tutoring sessions based on curriculum and program coordinator's discretion.

• Assists students in developing effective learning strategies and critical thinking skills using appropriate equipment and resources.

• Creates and maintains a tutoring schedule that is convenient for both the student and the tutor.

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of each tutoring session.

• Ensures strict confidentiality of all student information, materials, and discussions shared in the tutoring relationship.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency and knowledge in tutoring course(s) of interest [Required]

• Patience, desire, and a positive approach when working with students [Required]

Education:

• Associate's, Bachelor's or higher degree [Required]

Field of Study:

• Recommendation form or letter from either an instructor, teacher, professor, academic chair, employer, or volunteer supervisor to tutor a General Education course ORRecommendation form or letter from a Professional Program Instructor or Chair to tutor a Professional Program course

• Enrolled in an AS or BS Program at AHU

• An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:-Associates degreeand 0+ years of experience OR
