Job summary

ASC Process Systems, Inc. is seeking a welder to fabricate autoclave pressure vessels by following blueprints, diagrams, and instructions. You will prepare materials, cut, plasma cut, saw, grind, and weld according to ASME standards.

The role requires passing ASC’s welder qualifications, working with forklifts and cranes, and traveling to customer sites. Regular tool use and physical stamina are necessary for this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Trade school certificate and at least 1 year welding experience.
• Must pass third-party welder qualification tests per ASC ASME procedures.
• Able to communicate orally with coworkers.
• Regular use of hand-held and motorized tools.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with forklift and crane.

Responsibilities

• Perform pressure vessel welding according to ASME code and ASC’s approved procedures.
• Use industrial machinery and tools including saws, drills, grinders and welding equipment.
• Travels to customer sites.

Job description

• Follow blueprints specifications diagrams schematics work instructions and verbal instructions to build autoclave pressure vessels.
• Prepare material for fabrication: Measure cut plasma cut saw grind weld various materials such as steel plate steel pipe and pipe fitting.
• Perform pressure vessel welding according to ASME code and ASC’s approved ASME weld procedures to be inspected and certified by third-party inspector.
• Use industrial machinery and tools to perform job duties including but not limited to various types of saws drills scissor lift metal roller drill press plasma cutter and welding equipment such as MIG welder Stick welder TIG welder hand grinder carbon arc.
• Travels to customer sites.
• Performs other duties assigned.

Requirements

• Trade school certificate and minimum one year previous work experience as welder required.
• Employee must pass third-party inspected welder performance qualifications test(s) according to ASC’s approved ASME welding procedures in order to become qualified for the job.
• Ability to communicate orally with co-workers is important.
