Job description

Sand Springs Area is in need of an ASME Code Welder/Fitter.

Working Hours: 6am-4:30 Monday-Friday with overtime on Saturday.

Responsibilities:
  1. Clamps, holds, tack welds, grinds, and bolts components to position for welding.
  2. Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces for straightedges or templates to ensure conformance.
  3. Measure dimensions.
  4. Develop templates and models for welding projects, using mathematical calculations based on blueprint information.
  5. Layout fits nozzles supports and couplings per blueprint into coil.
  6. Use grinders, hand files, and scrapers to remove rough spots.
  7. Operate forklift and overhead crane.
  8. Read blueprints.
Qualifications:
  1. Strong mathematical skills.
  2. Ability to read level, tapes, protractors.
  3. Pass ASME Code Section 8 Welding test 2" schedule 160 carbon, 6G pipe test. GTAW (TIG) all the way out.
  4. FCAW (FLUX).
