Asleep Mental Health Specialist II / DSP

This asleep overnight position allows you to gain experience, rest while working, and choose day, evening, or overnight hours around your schedule. Sleep hours are paid at minimum wage, while awake hours are compensated at $21-$24/hour.

Job Description

About the Program: Mental Health Specialist II (MHS2) work in our Acute Behavioral Services (ABS) programs, serving individuals with complex behavioral and mental health needs, including high incident crisis situations, hospitalizations, and behavioral challenges. These programs are designed with safety in mind, with staff trained in manual restraints and prepared for emotional and physical challenges.

Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support tailored to individual needs, manage interfering behaviors, maintain a safe environment, assist with daily living skills, and support transportation. Prior experience in direct support or behavior technician roles is beneficial.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old (21 for some sites)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of experience working with mental illness; experience in behavior management is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Auto liability insurance and reliable transportation
  • Physically able to stand, squat, bend, walk, and lift 50 lbs
  • Basic computer skills
Additional Information
