The Residential Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers. Responsibilities include:

1. Operating various waste collection trucks (side-load, rear-load) and equipment.
2. Ensuring safe loading of solid waste, recyclables, and yard waste.
3. Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
4. Completing daily reports and route sheets.
5. Reporting mechanical issues or accidents immediately.
6. Following safety standards and regulations.
7. Wearing personal protective equipment.
8. Interacting professionally with customers and the public.
9. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
10. Identifying and tagging prohibited waste items.
11. Supervising assigned team members if applicable.
12. Attending safety and branch meetings.
13. Managing inventory of containers and parts.
14. Recommending purchases.
15. Assisting in improving routing efficiencies.
16. Being available for overtime if required.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include:

1. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with at least one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certification.
2. Ability to drive trucks and operate equipment safely.
3. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 50 to 100 pounds.
4. Strong visual acuity.
5. Exposure to noise, weather elements, mechanical parts, chemicals, and vehicle traffic.
6. Effective communication skills.
7. Ability to follow instructions, read maps, and adapt to change.
8. Sitting for up to 75% of the workday with frequent lifting.
