Job summary

Propio Language Services in Overland Park, KS seeks a Remote American Sign Language (ASL) Contract Interpreter for PropioONE. You will provide virtual interpretation, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality for medical and community settings while adhering to ethical standards.

Required ASL certification (RID/BEI/EIPA) and state licensure if needed; 1 year of interpreting experience and a high school diploma or GED are required. Remote work with flexible scheduling is offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation remotely via Video Remote.
• Interpret client information accurately into target language(s).

• Complete daily activity logs and documentation.

We have an immediate need for aRemote American Sign Language (ASL) Contract Interpreter for ourVideo OnDemand service PropioONE.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation virtually viaVideo Remote.
• Precisely and accurately interprets critical information given by Propio’s clients into pre-determined target language(s)
• Complies with applicable ethics and standards.
• Interprets in a timely and accurate manner for the consumer/family members in a wide variety of settings (80% Medical - 20% General Community based Interpreting)
• Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical employees.
• Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards.
• Participates in continuing annual educational programs by Propio.
• Completion of daily activity logs and other documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Verification of ASL (American Sign Language) proficiency (Certification)NationalASL (American Sign Language) Certification (RID) and/or EIPA 3.7+ and/or BEI.
• State License or Registration (If the state you reside in requires it).
• 1years of relevant Interpreting Experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must live in the USA
