Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing program at Jackson Elementary in Lawrenceville, GA. The role involves interpreting in classrooms, IEP meetings, and extracurricular activities, ensuring clear communication between D/HH students and staff.

The ideal candidate holds an EIPA level 3.5+ or RID/NAD certification, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and at least two years of interpreting experience.

Mansioni

• Serve as liaison between the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (D/HH) Program and mainstream programs.

• Interpret for extracurricular activities as requested.
• Participate in IEP meetings when requested.
• Maintain credentials and provide evidence to the LEA as requested.
• Clarify the role of interpreter to assist all parties concerned.
