Job summary

Fluency in ASL is required for the Deaf Program, and candidates should have a background in human services with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach. The role involves prompting residents to start their day, monitoring medications, transportation, and assisting with ADLs, appointments, cleaning, cooking, and general caregiving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; BA in human services preferred.
• At least one year of experience in mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation, or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
• Must be proficient in ASL.

Responsibilities

• Prompting residents to start their day and assisting with daily activities.
• Monitoring medication and facilitating transportation.
• Assist with ADLs, making appointments, assist in cleaning, cooking, and providing caregiving support.
• Supporting individuals in their recovery journey from mental illness, physical illness, and substance use.
