Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Sign Language Direct Support Professional to work with a female client in Philadelphia, PA 19082. The role involves one-on-one support in home and community settings, providing personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities.

ASL proficiency is required. The position offers flexible scheduling, part-time shifts, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for training and development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities (If you do not have this experience, training MAY be available through our apprentice program)
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Ability to transport clients to community activities
• Fluent in ASL (American Sign Language)

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
