Qualifications

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required.
• Experience in caregiving or healthcare support is preferred.
• Ability to communicate empathetically with Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude toward clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support using ASL as the primary communication method.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and dressing.
• Support meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional monitoring.
• Facilitate community engagement and social activities for clients.
• Monitor and document client health status, behaviors, and progress.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals and families to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
