Qualifications

• Master’s degree in American Sign Language or certification in Interpreter Prep.
• Master’s with 12 credits in ASL/ITP; minimum 18 ASL/ITP credits; 6 credits must be from ASL/ITP.
• If <18 ASL/ITP credits, must be fluent in ASL and have ASL teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in ASL and Interpreter Prep delivering outcomes identified in the course development model.
• Collaborate to develop and revise curriculum as needed.
• Meet scheduled classes promptly and participate in faculty/college meetings.
• Assess and record student performance, provide feedback and referrals as needed.
• Advise students academically and support instructional accommodations.
