Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on dental assisting in a general practice.
• EFDA training recognized under Florida requirements.
• Florida radiography certification or qualifying training.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance during general, restorative, cosmetic, and surgical procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before procedures.
• Take digital dental radiographs and perform expanded functions per Florida law.
• Assist with dental implants, Invisalign, impressions/scanning, and other advanced procedures as trained.
• Follow OSHA, CDC infection-control standards, HIPAA requirements, and office protocols.
• Educate patients on procedures and postoperative care within your role.
• Maintain sterilization, operatory organization, and inventory readiness.
• Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and assistants to ensure efficient patient flow.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide efficient four‑handed chairside assistance during general, restorative, cosmetic, and surgical procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before each procedure.
• Take digital dental radiographs and perform expanded functions as permitted by Florida law and your documented training.
• Assist with dental implants, Invisalign, impressions/scanning, and other advanced procedures as trained.

• Follow OSHA, CDC infection‑control standards, HIPAA requirements, and office protocols.
• Educate patients about procedures and post‑operative instructions within your authorized role.
• Maintain proper sterilization, operatory organization, and inventory readiness.
• Work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, and fellow dental assistants to ensure efficient patient flow.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• At least 2 years of hands‑on dental assisting experience in a general dental practice.
• Documented Florida‑compliant expanded‑functions training (EFDA).
• Appropriate dental radiography certification or qualifying formal training recognized under Florida requirements.
• Strong four‑handed dentistry skills and experience assisting with restorative procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• A professional, positive attitude and strong commitment to teamwork.
• Dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 8 hours per day

Friday: 5 hours

Approximately 37-40 hours per week.
