Job summary

Bausch + Lomb in Greenville, SC is seeking an aseptic process engineer and coach to strengthen sterility assurance in sterile solutions manufacturing.

You will provide real-time coaching, assess training effectiveness, and help ensure compliance with cGMP and data integrity while cross‑functionally supporting manufacturing, QA, and regulatory affairs.

A bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and at least 4 years in aseptic operations are required; occasional off-shift support may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, chemistry, engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of aseptic manufacturing, sterile operations, quality, microbiology, process engineering, or a related cGMP environment.
• Experience providing hands-on training, qualification support, or behavioral coaching in a controlled manufacturing environment.
• Current cGMP and site-required training; ability to support off-shift or weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain routine, visible presence in classified manufacturing areas and observe gowning, setup, disinfection, material transfer, aseptic connections and line clearance.
• Provide timely, respectful coaching to personnel and leaders and escalate quality, sterility, or safety concerns per site procedures.
• Serve as a technical SME for aseptic behaviors, cleanroom discipline, contamination control, and microbiological controls.
• Support development, delivery, qualification, and effectiveness assessment of aseptic training and curricula.
• Document coaching observations and deviations per Good Documentation Practices and data integrity requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, QC/Microbiology, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and site leadership to improve aseptic process capability.
