Job summary

Evonik is seeking an entry-level technician to support aseptic operations across extrusion, microsphere, liposome or polymerization processes. You will demonstrate aseptic technique with minimal supervision and accurately execute batch records and development activities.

You will assemble and disassemble process equipment, operate PLC-controlled equipment, perform in-process environmental monitoring, contribute to safety and housekeeping, and comply with Evonik’s quality systems and cGMP

Qualifications

• AA degree in technical area or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions.
• Thorough understanding of general lab glassware and data logging software.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate personal proficiency of aseptic technique with minimal supervision.
• Accurately execute development/engineering, GLP or GMP batch records with direct supervision.
• Accurately perform complex, multi-step solution preparations with direct supervision.
• Assemble and disassemble process equipment on multiple unit operations for extrusion, microsphere, liposome or polymerization processes with direct supervision.
• Operate PLC controlled equipment with direct supervision, including adjusting set-points as directed in batch records.
• Use basic hand tools required for equipment operation.
• Execute in-process environmental monitoring with direct supervision.
• Participate in the execution of IOQs with direct supervision.
• Perform safety, PPE adherence and general area housekeeping.
• Identify opportunities related to maintenance, calibration and improvement of facilities.
