Job summary

Zoetis, Inc. in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Formulation Specialist I - Aseptic on the 2nd shift to assemble, prepare and clean manufacturing equipment and perform aseptic formulation processes in a lean production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math and English communication.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and reference technical documentation.
• Basic use of Microsoft applications and general computer skills.
• Effective interpersonal communication and a positive outlook.
• Critical thinking, collaborative investigation and solution development.
• Strong mechanical skills along with experience in the use of various hand tools.
• Experience in Lean Production and continuous improvement environment; 5S, visual schedule, PDCA, M1, etc.
• Knowledge of cGMP's and production practices.

Responsibilities

• Follow batch records, SOPs and safety guidelines; adhere to cGMP standards; operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on formulation equipment.
• Assemble, disassemble and clean formulation equipment and work areas.
• Handle hazardous materials by following gowning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Follow detailed recipe instructions to ensure accurate measuring and mixing of ingredients.
• Monitor, evaluate and adjust processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tasks.
• Communicate effectively with support personnel and leadership.
• Collaborate to maintain production schedules and department objectives.
