Job summary

CarMax in Oxnard, California is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair and recondition vehicles to our safety and quality standards. You’ll work with a skilled team in a climate-controlled facility, gaining hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles while following EH&S guidelines.

You will receive ongoing training and access to advanced tools, with opportunities to grow your skills and advance your CarMax career in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications where required by state/local law.
