Job summary

Legacy Chevrolet GMC in Waxahachie, TX is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform quality repairs per dealership and factory standards, inspect vehicles, and support pre-delivery checks. You will work in a fast-paced service department and contribute to customer satisfaction.

Candidates should have 1+ years of dealership experience, be able to work with automatic and manual transmissions, hold ASE certifications, and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ dealership service experience preferred.
• Able to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
• ASE certification(s) in brakes, electrical/electronic systems, or engine performance preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repair work per dealership and factory standards.
• Check fluids and maintenance-related parts; top off or replace as required.
• Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting.
• Road-test vehicle to verify repair quality.
• Maintain clean and organized shop area; ensure documentation is complete.
• Communicate status with service advisors and customers; keep customers informed.
• Follow safety, shop policies, and environmental rules.
