Job summary

Suburban Hyundai of Troy, part of Lithia Motors, is hiring a Mainline Automotive Service Technician. You will diagnose, repair, and road-test vehicles, record work time, and maintain tool inventories while pursuing ASE and manufacturer certifications. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency is required.

The role features a competitive flat rate pay range of $30–$50 per hour, benefits, and opportunities for growth. High school degree and a clean driving record are expected.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Record time spent on repairs using company time clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair orders and test procedures/results.
• Maintain inventory of normal mechanics tools.
• Complete required training and maintain manufacturer/ASE certifications.
• Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned.
