Job summary

CarMax in West Point, VA is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles across engines, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC. You'll work with a skilled team in a climate-controlled facility designed for efficiency, safety, and hands-on growth, with access to advanced tools and ongoing training.

This role requires experience in engine and system repairs, strong safety awareness, ability to lift heavy objects, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications where required by state/local law (A4, A5, A7, A6, A1, A3, A8, A2)
