Job summary

CarMax in West Point, VA is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and quality standards. You'll work with a skilled team in a climate-controlled shop, gaining hands-on experience across engines, suspensions, brakes, steering, and HVAC while upholding EH&S guidelines.

Ideal candidates have experience with engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC, and hold valid driver's license with ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC.
• Strong health and safety compliance knowledge.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and valid driver's license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications where required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax's high standards for quality and safety
