Dobbs Tire & Auto Center in Edwardsville, IL, is hiring an Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic – ASE Certified. The role offers guaranteed weekly hours (30 guaranteed hours) and a competitive pay range based on experience, with full benefits.

Technicians diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, perform tire services and alignments, and contribute to high-quality customer service in a fast-paced shop environment. ASE certification or substantial hands-on experience is required.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications OR 5+ years of automotive technician experience in a professional shop.
• Missouri State Inspector License OR ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Experience with tire installation, wheel balancing, steering, suspension, and automotive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, vehicle inspections, steering and suspension work, oil changes, tune-ups, and general automotive maintenance.
• Missouri state inspections or obtain certification to do so.
• Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine repair issues.
• Maintain accurate service documentation for completed work.
• Provide professional customer service when explaining repair recommendations to customers.
