Job Overview

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) invites applications for a full-time, exempt CCU Clinical Faculty - Assistant Professor, General Dentist position at the Mesa, Arizona campus. The role reports to the Associate Dean of Clinic Operations and involves teaching, patient care, scholarly activities, and service to support the school's mission. The primary focus is to facilitate students' clinical experiences from foundational knowledge to competency in patient-centered care integrating biomedical, behavioral, and clinical sciences.

Responsibilities

• Promote a respectful, diverse, and humanistic learning environment.
• Conduct teaching, scholarship, service, and patient care aligned with the school's goals.
• Supervise clinical activities as a general dentist in CCUs or other clinics.
• Participate in committees, professional societies, and community events.
• Engage in scholarly activities as workload permits.
• Provide clinical supervision and documentation of student performance.
• Enforce clinic policies including infection control and safety protocols.
• Deliver direct patient care when appropriate, supporting community service and education.
• Instruct students in simulation clinics and collaborate on student assessments.
• Mentor students and be available for consultation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree with eligibility for Arizona dental licensure.
• Knowledge of contemporary general dentistry techniques.
• Minimum three years of private practice or advanced graduate training.
