Job summary

Volusia County Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional 4 for the ASD Program at Osteen Elementary. You will support professional instructional staff and help deliver educational services integral to teaching in a special education setting.

Responsibilities include implementing services for students with disabilities, assisting with daily living activities, behavior plans, documentation, supervision in various settings, and one-on-one tutoring under teacher direction.

Qualifications

Requires HS diploma or GED (or higher) with related credentials.
Associate degree or 48 college hours or Para Pro passing score.
STAR substitute training completed within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

Implement services for students with disabilities per policies and procedures.
Assist other paraprofessionals in implementing responsibilities.
Provide one-on-one tutoring for eligible students and assist in daily living activities as needed.
Monitor attendance and document required information.
Assist in planning and delivering instruction under teacher direction.
Support classroom management and crisis intervention as needed.
