An established educational institution is seeking a dedicated Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher for their ASD classroom. This role involves delivering tailored educational services to students, monitoring their progress, and collaborating with staff and families. 1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute (LTS) - Special Education ASD Center-Based Teacher for Sweeney Elementary School. Tentative assignment date is mid-October 2025 through January 2026.
Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in the areas of academic, social, emotional, communication, and behavior skills in an ASD classroom setting. Monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives, follow due process and IEP procedures, and manage paperwork. Communicate effectively with families and staff. Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans and direct the work of paraprofessional(s).
Provide instruction in content areas in accordance with each student's ability. Create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establish effective working relationships with students and parents, and work collaboratively with other staff members.
Salary ranges from $50,000 to $118,444 depending on education level and experience.
