Job summary

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. The role emphasizes accuracy in medication preparation, inventory management, and safe handling of narcotics.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, state registration within 30 days, and 6 months to 1 year of experience, with training available for sterile/non-sterile compounding and pharmacy automation systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
State Board of Pharmacy registration within 30 days of hire required.
Pharmacy technician program completion preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with medication preparation according to protocols.
Maintain and replenish inventory including crash carts and floor stock.
Provide customer service through proficient telephone triage and professional communication.
Process medication requests and intervention messages.
Refill and deliver unit dose cart fills, Pyxis batches, IV admixtures and bulk stock.
Manage narcotics and stock deliveries to prevent delays in care.
Operate automated dispensing cabinets and other pharmacy automation systems.
Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding after training.
Conduct nursing unit inspections and surveillance to eliminate expired medications.
Assist in training and precepting new technicians and students.
