We offer all Field Service Technicians direct product training, training on digital and physical tools, service vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptops for daily professional use.

This opportunity is home-based with a flexible work schedule, guaranteed 40 hours (+Overtime).

This Field Service Technician position is within our U.S. Services business, specifically our ASCO team, focusing on servicing critical data center equipment. We are the OEM service provider for APC (American Power Conversion)/MGE/Schneider Electric equipment.

Typical Daily Responsibilities:
  1. Maintenance and repair of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
  2. Service administration and reporting, including service order generation, inventory review, and safety audits
  3. Executing installation, maintenance, and repair on customer-installed base within specific know-how
Additional Tasks:
  • Participate in training for ATS maintenance, troubleshooting, and startup
  • Identify new opportunities at customer sites to promote services growth
  • Determine when products should be upgraded or replaced
Qualifications:
  • Military service or technical field experience with power systems, low/medium voltage applications
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, tools, and maintenance processes
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and one-line diagrams
  • Proficiency with test equipment for troubleshooting ATS
  • Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and travel, including overnight stays
  • Certifications or willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED, PPE training
  • Knowledge of ATS operation, one-line diagrams, and ability to perform startup on various ATS models
  • Ability to connect and communicate with laptops for firmware and control panel updates
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to move service equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
