Location: Ascension St. Vincent YMCA in Westfield
Reports to: Executive Director

Position Overview:
As the Member Engagement Specialist at our Ascension St. Vincent YMCA in Westfield, you’ll be the face of our organization, driving membership sales, promoting our programs, and ensuring that every interaction with our prospective and current members is exceptional. You’ll work closely with our Executive Director to achieve our membership goals and contribute to creating a welcoming and vibrant community space.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the Charge: Drive membership sales and promote YMCA programs and services, contributing to the achievement of our strategic goals.
• Be the First Point of Contact: Serve as the go-to person for prospective members, offering solutions that match their needs and expectations.
• Elevate the Experience: Conduct engaging tours, use consultative sales techniques, and build strong relationships with potential and current members.
• Supervise and Support: Step into a supervisory role in the Associate Executive Director’s absence and assist with training and development of the Member Services team.
• Achieve Excellence: Track sales goals, monitor performance, and ensure high-quality service through follow-up calls and proactive outreach.
• Innovate and Promote: Implement membership promotions, assist with marketing and special events, and provide leadership for center projects as needed.
• Provide Leadership Presence: Serve as Manager on Duty, overseeing operations and addressing immediate needs for a seamless environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: High school diploma/GED required (degree in business, sales, marketing, or communications preferred). 1-3 years of proven sales experience with a track record of exceeding targets. Experience in a supervisory role is a plus.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively engage with all age groups. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and customer service skills are essential.
• Adaptability: Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with membership pricing structures, program offerings, and the ability to stay current with community trends.
