Greenway Elementary in Bisbee, Arizona seeks a TOSA – School Counselor to design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with ASCA standards and district goals.

The role focuses on academic achievement, college and career readiness, social-emotional development, and personal growth, providing counseling services and collaborating with families and staff to support student success.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona School Counselor Certificate; or Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate, with relevant experience.
• Master’s Degree
• Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• At least three years of teaching experience or previous counseling experience under supervised conditions preferred
• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that meets minimum requirements

Responsibilities

• Provides a comprehensive school counseling program that supports students’ academic achievement, college and career readiness, social-emotional development, and personal growth.
• Provides individual and group counseling services to students addressing academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and career-related needs.
• Develops and implements a school counseling program aligned with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model and district goals.
• Collaborates with students, families, teachers, administrators, and community agencies to identify student needs and provide appropriate support and resources.
• Assists students in developing academic plans, selecting coursework, monitoring graduation requirements, and preparing for postsecondary education, career pathways, and workforce opportunities.
