Job summary

Spine Team Texas is seeking an Ambulatory Surgical Center Registered Nurse to support medical staff during procedures and provide front line pre-op and post-op care. You will document patient status in the EMR and communicate with families before and after ASC admission.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Preferred experience in OR or Ambulatory Surgery Center.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational ability.
• Ability to plan and execute work projects.
• Ability to work productively, independently or with others.
• Proficient in communicating in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist all Medical staff within the ASC during procedures.
• Provide patient care during Pre-Op, PACU and, if applicable, in the OR per policy and procedures.
• Ensure accurate notations in patient charts regarding status and condition, including EMR proficiency.
• Provide family with necessary information pre- and post-admission to the ASC.
• Uphold Spine Team Texas mission and deliver high-level customer service.
• Maintain professionalism and teamwork; support a positive patient experience.
• Assist with lifting patients when necessary and work sequences may require standing for long periods.
