Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to own the end-to-end credentialing lifecycle for all medical staff, from initial applications to full onboarding. You will manage PSV, licensure, facility privileges, and enrollment with government and commercial payors.

This role partners with hospitals and providers, maintains credentialing files, conducts monthly audits, documents processes, and keeps schedules up to date while ensuring compliance and timely

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Experience in credentialing in ASC or hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of NCQA and TJC credentialing standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure PSV accuracy and timeliness for incoming physicians.
• Prepare and submit initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
• Manage cyclical reappointment process for active medical staff.
• Coordinate document collection with hospitals and providers to streamline workflow.
• Update credentialing files, tracking tools and internal task lists.
• Conduct monthly audits of expiring licenses, DEA, and board certifications.
• Document workflow steps including provider numbers and dates.
• Liaise with physicians, external clients and internal teams on credentialing updates.
