Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc is seeking a Business Office Lead & Biller to manage day-to-day ASC billing activities and supervise the business office staff in a fast-paced setting. You will oversee accounts receivable, denials, and authorizations, ensuring timely and accurate billing and financial clearance.

You will coordinate with scheduling and clinical staff, maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer requirements, and drive accuracy and efficiency across the revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• Medical billing experience required; ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical insurance processes, payer requirements, and billing procedures.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Billing and Revenue Cycle Management: perform ASC billing functions, including claim review, submission, corrections, and payer follow-up.
• Insurance Authorizations and Scheduling: oversee insurance verification and authorization workflows; ensure financial clearance activities are completed accurately and timely.
• Staff Supervision and Accountability: supervise assigned staff and coordinate daily workloads; participate in evaluations with the Business Office Manager.
• Operational Oversight and Communication: monitor AR aging, denials, and authorization status; drive process improvements.
